The Pack Life- The Only Life
« on: April 04, 2011, 11:24:31 pm »
Name: Miquel
Gender: Male Wolf
History: Miquel is the kind of wolf that fits every characteristic of a human's view point. He's stern and protective in his pack- well, when he gets one- and is always on alert. Any sound out of the ordinary and he's tense and growling. He's always gentle with his mates and pups, but if they step out of line, he's quick to correct them. So don't think that with a bat of the eyelashes, this big guy is gonna fall for your she-wolf head over heals. He's gonna test her out, see if she's worth it to be in his pack and lead them the right way.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
MIQUEL[/shadow]
The male wolf walked around the wooded area's long perimeter. He took no shortcuts, no easy way out to watching over his land with attentive eyes, scenting every few steps. His ears for pointed forward, his nose intently taking in every single scent there was to take in; prey, she-wolves, males, humans, other dangers. He shook his head and picked up his pace to a jog, looking around the thick trunks for any signs of movement. None so far. He flicked his ears back for a moment and raised his head to the sky, letting out a loud, deep howl in calling. He knew that he wasn't alone within atleast a mile's radius. He had to start his pack now, having learned what it took to run it from his father and how he kept his mother in check. He wasn't too young, wasn't too old. He was at the prime of his life. That alone should draw she-wolves to him. But it wasn't a matter of being picked by them. He did the picking. It was his duty to pick only the strongest, the bravest, the most sturdy and bearable for pups to be in his pack. Actual feelings would come later, when he knew that he could trust them with his pack's safety...
(any she-wolves can come in  :D)
Nick: Semp, Fi
Description: Medium sized multi toned grey timber wolf.
Personality: Generally easy going, yet her laid back attitude hides the fire that burns birght inside her.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`

Semper Fidelis heard the howl and pricke dher ears, her breath huffing, as she chased down a rabbit. She killed it quickly with a pounce and a low snarl. She ate it quickly, adn after wiping of fthe blood, she returned the howl, and picke dup an easy lope in the direction of the howl. She slowed as she neared, laying her ears back, cautious, but not showing the slightest bit of weakness.

At the first reply of the she-wolf, Miquel narrowed his soft, but dark grey eyes and stepped forward, widening his stance. He paused for a moment, listening, waiting for the sounds of her footfalls to reach his ears. As soon as they did, he opened his mouth, his tongue lolling out the side, and padded his way towards the direction of the she-wolf. His tail was raised in dominance and his muscular frame still stood tense. Just because he couldn't smell any male wolves along with her at the moment, didn't mean that there weren't any there. "Hello?" The male called out in his deep voice, beckoning for the she-wolf to show herself...

She stepped out of the brush, ears drawn back, even more waril. Her previous encounters with wolves hadn't exactly been welcoming. " Is this you territory?" She asked, not daring to come any closer. Meanwhile, her eyes where as busy as her brain, sizing him up, noting his well defined muscle, and larger size. She did however relax h er stance a tiny bit, ot indicate she meant no harm.

Miquel's eyes instantly focused on the she-wolf when she stepped out from the underbrush with pinned ears. He lowered his head slightly and growled deep in the back of his throat, but on the inside, he was smirking. Already, he was off to a good start in finding a she-wolf that was protective of herself and wise about it. "It would be my territory, yes," he said to her, taking a step towards her. After that, her tense stance loosened just a bit, enough to make her look less threateningly. The male blew through his nose softly and lifted up his head to it's normal height. His tail was still raised to show his dominance over her, but he made no effort to show that should she step out of line, she'd still live to tell the tale. He walked towards her with slow steps, making her see that he wasn't chasing her off just yet, and made a small circle around her. "You have no male with you?" He asked, his misty eyes meeting her's. He put his guard down for a few minutes, sitting down a few feet away from her and wrapping his tail around himself, still looking over her (btw, do you happen to have a pic of her that i can see? lol). He took in her frame- smaller than his, but still having the potential to carry great strength within it. He took in her eyes- the way they clouded over to hide true emotion, though still had a way of sharing the light. He took in the appearance of her face- showing the true picture of a leader in the way she had reacted simply to me. He smiled and relaxed his stance even more until he was in his normal, relaxed stance. "What had brought you out to these parts, my dear?" He asked her softly, letting go of his challenging voice and replacing it with that of a normal, caring male. "Surely my call was not the only thing." He figured that getting to know her before getting up and personal with names and such was the best route to go in this situation...

I shook my head." no, no male. What makes you think i need one?" She asked, both teasing and serious at the same time.  she tipped her head and studied him for  a bit. She noticed the way his eyes sparkled in the light, with intelligence, but not any emotion except for vague emotion. So, he was a master of the poker face as well. She noted carefully, the way his powerful shoulder muscles rippled as he circled her once and sat down. " Of course not, i was hunting nearby, and heard you, merely curiosity." This time, she let her eyes hint that it was slightly more than curiosity. Maybe like the drive for another wolf body, alive and breathing next to her. What she didn't let show was why. What she didn't let show is that ever since her brother had been killed in a great fire, she had been traveling alone. (ill get one k? XD)

(ok lol. thanks)

Miquel instantly perked up a bit more when the she-wolf mentioned that she had no male with or near her. It meant that he was yet another step closer and without any current competition. "No reason at all," he said with a small lift in the corners of his mouth. He flicked his ears and tilted his head to the side slightly, mimicking her own posture. "Merely curiosity, hm?" He asked her softly. "That's all?" Now, he showed something close to a full smile. He stood up and shrugged slightly, turning around and walking back towards the way he'd come from his land. "If just curiousity is what brought you here, then I'm sure you've had your fix at this point and I can just let you get back on your way again." He chuckled softly to himself and just barely glanced over his shoulder. Sometimes they followed, other times they turned and left. It was the final test for him. Up until now, she'd passed. But if she failed this part of the test, then it wasn't worth it. "It was nice meeting you." And with that, he picked up to a slow padding pace... (lol no worries. either way she goes, he'll make it acceptable. i have views of it all :P)

She was torn .. if she followed him, it would make her seem desperate. If she didn't she would lose her only chance at a pack. So she decided ot follow him. But stealthily. She kept to the shadows, watching him, observing, taking in everything. Thi sway she would tell him that she woul dlike ot join him when SHE felt it was right.

Miquel noticed that, after a few minutes of inward deciding by the she-wolf, she had begun to follow after him. He smiled and shook out his coat before slowing down his pace a bit. When he turned around, he saw her moving from shadow to shadow, inching her way after him. "Still want to think that the only reason you came was out of curiosity?" He asked her teasingly, a full out smile now on his face. "Because I do believe that there's more to it than that." He gave a small laugh and then his face returned to it's serious expression as he trotted back to the center of his land, heading towards the shade. There, he laid down and looked back at her, moving his tail back and forth across the grass in a sort of waiting position...

Dharma
 Head held high she padded forward, her eyes ever watchful for the worst. She hd just recently left Chani and Miska to their Childs play and now she walked alone in the shadows. Her ears pricked forward at the sound of another wolf and she let out a low growl. She was the size of a medium male so she doubted that a female could beat her. The scars on he glistened in the light and she crouched low, her tail straight and her lips pulled back in a growl to show her white canines. The blur of black came straight at her and the two wolves collided in a flurry of fur, claws and teeth. The two stopped when Dharma dealt the final blow. Walking away with blood red chops she had a smug look before licking the blood off and washing her chops clean in a small stream. Her bright orange eyes flashed to the two wolves. In the midst of her fighting she hadnt hard the male or the female howl. Crouching low in the underbrush she hid in the shadows waiting and watching.

Hearing another unfamiliar sound, almost like that of this she-wolf's when she first came near his land, Miquel quickly lifted up his head and tensed. At first, he threw a glare towards the other female, thinking instinctively that she'd lied about being accompanied by another male. He growled low in his throat, standing up and leaving the other she-wolf behind for the moment. He picked up speed and raised his hackles, moving silently through patches of shade so as not to cast any attention-drawing shadows. When he finally caught sight of the dark brown wolf, he narrowed his eyes and glared at her, raising his tail high to show his dominance over her. "What's your purpose for sneaking around my land?" He snapped at her, taking slow, attentive steps around her, looking her over. He was ready for any sudden movements from her. She-wolf or not, sneaking around wasn't tolerated. It could easily get her hurt... (no offense 2 her, compared 2 river's wolf lol. it's just the way he caught on 2 her was more offensive than River's approach :P)

(it's cool. Dharma is protective thats the only reason why)
Dharma watched and then he was gone; sending her into a flurry of suspicion. When he appeared she watched him with glaring eyes. She almost wanted to shiot back with: and what I do is your business how? Instead she sat down, the light move over head and her scars flashed. For some they were hororfic and for others they were simple scratches. She shrugged softly " I heard talking and just wanted to see who it was. I thought it might have been my sister or brothers. Even possibly my father." The sable she-wolf was relaxed, smaller than a large male but bigger than a female, she saw no threat even though he loomed over her. " I'm sorry for the intrution." The orange eyes in her head still glared hard and most would guess because of he scars on her it was because of something bad in her past. " I am Dharma. Call me what you wish." She stood and stepped out of the underbrush. The scars on her legs and everywhere else were more visible, along with the fresh wounds.

Miquel's hard look towards the she-wolf didn't falter a single bit as she sat down. He barely took notice to the scars atop her head when they were move exposed to the light. He lowered his head, still growling lowly until he heard the softness of her voice. Surely, a wolf that had a voice that soft wasn't too bad. And even her stance had relaxed. He put on a less tense of an expression and stepped back from her, giving her her space once more. "Well, surely, as you can see, there are no relatives of your's here. No sister, and most definately, no brother or father of your's. There are no other males allowed anywhere near my land. They know what'll happen if they ventured close enough." As she stood up and stepped out further into the light, he got a better look at the scars on her body. He flicked his ears and sat down, thinking with an emotionless expression on his face. She had strength, or she wouldn't have survived with the wounds her body carried. She had stealth, or she wouldn't have been able to pull off sneaking around in the shadows. She wasn't accompanied by any other males, or she wouldn't be looking for them. And so, there was only one test left for her, should she want to join him. And that was to see if she, too, would follow him. He flicked his ears slightly and said, "Well, Dharma. I'll just leave you to get back to your search for your family. I must get back to my land and attend to other matters. It was nice meeting you, though." He then lowered his tail slightly in a relaxed manner and returned to the other she-wolf who was atleast patiently waiting for him...
